Sunday School Recap, September 19th

1st to 5th Grade:

Can we trust God’s timing?
In 1 Samuel 16, David has the opportunity to kill Saul. Saul has been actively pursuing David with the intent to kill him. One night he sneaks into Saul’s camp and everyone stays asleep! Amazingly, David does not kill Saul, he only takes his bucket and his staff to indicate how close he was to Saul.

David’s remarkable ability to spare Saul is evidence of the presence and magnitude of God’s grace. David’s obedience to God’s call to love his enemy and leave vengeance to the Lord is rooted in his deep trust in God.

We are still working on Psalm 23:1:
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not be in want!

Pre-K and K:
God Calls Moses

God called Moses and prepared him to bring God's people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. (Exodus 3-4).

"The Lord... cares for those who trust in him."  Nahum 1:7
